Obesity is major problem of this century. There is one valuable fluid available absolutely free of charge - water. Water can be used to reduce weight. Before a meal if you drink 2-3 glasses of water, the stomach will get bloated.

The capacity of the stomach is limited. Therefore, once it is filled partly with water, there will be less space left for food to enter. Certainly the intake of food will be reduced and it will help you to reduce weight.

Periodically, many people find it very difficult to shed weight beyond a point in spite of restricting calories. This is because the body retains a lot of water because of some chemical imbalance.

The food we eat contains quite a good quantity of water. When you are dieting, the intake of food is less, hence quantity of water intake is also reduced. If you don’t drink sufficient water, the body will retain whatever water is drunk, limiting the weight loss.

When you drink a lot of water, sodium and water retention decreases. Therefore, drink at least 8-10 glasses of water if you really want to lose weight.
